The End
I was starting to lose interest in the book in the middle but the action picked up in the end and I got more interested. I think it was a predictable ending that he would kill the Shade, they would win the war, and Eragon would be the hero. So I thought it was not a very good ending. All though the ending did want me to read the next book so the author did a good job with the ending. I think Eragon connected with Murtagh and Brom in kind of the same way. He did not trust either when he first meet them but trusted them more as the book went on. But you can tell he had more of a connection with Brom. You can tell when he said that Brom would be proud of him killing the Shade but he did not think Murtagh in the end at all. This book was a good read and I am glad I read it and I think I will read the other two books.
The Varden
I think that the relationship between Eragon and The Varden was strained from the beginning, because the varden didnt trust Murtagh. I think that this relationship will get much better once Eragon realizes that Murtagh doesn't really feel like he's being "imprisoned", as Eragon first thought. Also, I think that Eragon could probably bring the Dwarves, Elves, and Varden together to help fight the war against the Empire. Although, Eragon and his followers will be screwed if Galbatorix finds someone that will make the Eggs that he is holding to hatch.

Waiting for Zach
Im bored, lets sing....
Just a small town girl
Living in a lonely world
She took the midnight train going anywhere
Just a city boy
Born and raised in South Detroit
He took the midnight train going anywhere
A singer in a smoky room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on
Strangers, waiting, up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlight people, living just to find emotion
Hiding somewhere in the night
Working hard to get my fill
Everybody wants a thrill
Paying anything to roll the dice
Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on
Don't stop believing
Hold on to that feeling
Streetlight people

The Epic Journey
Now that Brom is dead i think that Eragons journey will be more "fun". I think eragon will fly with saphira more and Murtagh wont be as tough on him about practicing magic every night and other stuff like that. Also I think that it may actually be good for eragon now that brom is dead. The journey to the varden will probably go much faster because there will be one less body to carry. Once the weird elf lady wakes up i think that she will know exactly how to get into the varden and the journey will be over extremely quickly. I think Morzans sword (the one eragons carrying) will be a huge conflict throughout the rest of the book.
Death of Brom
I thought that it was sad that Brom died and that he was so loyal to Eragon. Also through out the book Brom and Eragon became more and more connected. When they first started their quest Eragon was not so sure to trust Brom and let him go with them. But in the end Eragon trusted him and was very sad that he died. But I think his death will become good for Eragon so he can learn how to survive on his own.
I think the Elf he rescued from the Urgals is the "great romance" the herbalist told him he would have when she told him his future.

Brom and Eragon
When Brom and Eragon were about to start their quest I did not think they would get along and I thought Brom would end up going against Eragon. But as the story goes on it seems like they are becoming good friends. I also think that people in the towns have let them through easily and as the book keeps progressing they might give them a harder time.

The Beginning
I think that so far this book is a little confusing just because we dont know that much about the evil character(s), (Galbatorix). Although I think that it will get less and less confusing once the characters get closer to the varden and the empire. I think that even though everybody around Eragon and the people in there village don't think the Varden is good the Varden will turn out to be very helpful in Eragons fight against the Empire. Also I think that Roran wont play a very big role in the rest of the story. I think Roran will kind of just dissapear and he probably wont resurface unless Eragon returns home.

Start of book thoughts
So far on the book I have a few thoughts and questions. At the very start when Eragon found the "stone" I thought it might be an egg for a dragon because there is a dragon on the cover. Turns out that prediction was right. So far I think the theme is survival because that is all the charecters seem to care about. That also fits in with the main conflict which is Eragon trying to survive and I think that is person vs. nature. Also I noticed that the book is written in third person. I have a question about the setting. Do you think this book takes place in Medevil times or is more modern?
